Bezuinigingen op de overheidsuitgaven stuwen de werkloosheid in Nederland flink op, blijkt uit cijfers van het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek. In april zijn er per saldo 24.000 werklozen bij gekomen. Dat is uitzonderlijk veel voor één maand. ‘Wat is overgebleven van de banenmotor?’ ‘De overheid geeft de werkloosheid een extra zetje de verkeerde kant op’, zegt een woordvoerder van het CBS. ‘In het eerste kwartaal gingen er bij de overheid 27.000 banen verloren in het onderwijs en bij de overheidsdiensten. Dat hoeven niet pertinent 27.000 ontslagen te zijn geweest. Het personeelsbestand bij de overheid is flink vergrijsd, het kan zijn dat de overheid een groot aantal vacatures niet meer vervult.’ PvdA-leider Diederik Samsom viel premier Mark Rutte donderdag stevig aan in het verantwoordingsdebat over 2011: ‘De cijfers van vandaag zijn ontluisterend. Bijna 500.000 mensen zitten nu thuis. Ik vraag de premier: hoe verklaart u dat onze economie er na twee jaar zo beroerd voor staat? Wat is er over gebleven van de banenmotor? Aan onze export ligt het niet, het is een binnenlands probleem. Door een volstrekt gebrek aan vertrouwen van de consumenten houden ze de hand op de knip.’ Volgens Samsom doen andere landen het beter, ondanks dezelfde crisis. ‘De dalende prijzen op de huizenmarkt, het achterblijven van de lonen en de invloed van de bezuinigingen, dat is het recept van Rutte.’ ‘Dynamiek op arbeidsmarkt neemt af’ De boosheid leidde in Den Haag vooralsnog niet tot een verzoek aan het kabinet om extra maatregelen. Het Lenteakkoord, waarvan de definitieve versie vandaag wordt gepresenteerd, moet leiden tot herstel van vertrouwen en de economie en banengroei weer op gang helpen, stelt D66-Kamerlid Fatma Koser Kaya. In 2009 werd bijvoorbeeld de deeltijd-WW ingevoerd, maar daar lijkt nu weinig animo voor te zijn. Volgens het CBS is de situatie nu heel anders. ‘In 2009 remde de overheid de stijging van de werkloosheid juist af door de eigen uitgaven extra op te voeren’, aldus de woordvoerder. Volgens het CBS neemt de dynamiek op de arbeidsmarkt duidelijk af. De instroom van nieuwe werklozen neemt niet eens veel sneller toe, maar vooral het tempo van de uitstroom van bestaande werklozen slinkt. Minder werklozen slagen erin een nieuwe baan te vinden, waardoor ook de langdurige werkloosheid weer geleidelijk toeneemt. Toename langdurig werklozen In het onderwijs gingen in het eerste kwartaal 10.000 banen verloren. Dat is bijna 2% op een totaal van iets meer dan 500.00. Bij het openbaar bestuur slonk het aantal banen zelfs met 17.000. Op een totaal van eveneens ruim 500.000 is dat ruim 3%. Van de beroepsbevolking is nu 6,2% werkloos. CNV-vicevoorzitter Maurice Limmen: ‘Duidelijk wordt ook dat het aantal langdurig werklozen toeneemt. Vooral daarover maak ik mij ernstige zorgen. Er moet meer worden geïnvesteerd in van-werk-naar-werk-trajecten. Het is ook van belang dat er aandacht komt voor het stimuleren van de economische groei en de werkgelegenheid.’

Christians share in the guilt and oppression of the world and recognize that their own righteousness is “imperfect, fragile, and highly problematical.” Christians express their solidarity with all of humanity in the struggle for justice. The call to faith is part of this struggle, but the Christian task cannot be limited to that. Christians must stand in solidarity with humanity by, in my words, “being there.” This will be a discerning “being there” that will sometimes affirm humanity’s efforts and sometimes question them; but it can never become so concerned with Christian purity (of whatever kind) that the “being there” becomes a “not” being there.

The last session at the Pictoplasma Festival i visited was at the Babylon Kino i got to see the beautifull work from the boys of sauer kids. They kept it a bit vague on the usage of colors… Which is good seeing a true chef doesn’t reveal all the ingredients in its recipies.
I have met one of the other organisers and had a bit of a chit chat about it and especially fun was the new screen that hang there… ‘mumble mumble’ yes indeed. Great fun!
After i was done i could pick up my recharged ipad so i could take some more photo’s from Henning Wagenbreth. I only heard from him, but i really liked this guys work. Excellent stuff especially the way he integrated the moving canvasses on Jazz.
I also met some really interesting people outside… and made some pictures derived from the same concept on the trams and such.
All by all it was a wonderfull day in the sun and in the darkness… Of the Kino… Nice and shadey.

At the HBC there are many great workshops to follow and if you don’t want or are able to participate you can view other great artists in their natural environment.
I was in luck to talk to Nico (i hope i spelled his name right) from “.HBC” they themselves are planning a growth over time and hopefully i can be a part of that. All depends on what they want to do… i support them in their ventures.
So here is a small overview of the activities in progress. I am wrapping up and going that way… Cheers!
